Interactive Websites
Halliburton Systems Inc is an industry leader in the develoment of
interactive web sites. Using proprietary software, written entirely
in C, we have developed fully interactive web sites for several major
magazines. These sites share the following features:
- All displayed pages are generated on the fly in response to user
requests
- Complete tracking of all requests and generated pages
- User history information, including name/address information
- Fax or email on demand to advertisers
- Email "subscriptions" to information by areas of interest
- Advertisers maintain their own information with password-protected
access
- Customized B+Tree ISAM data storage provides fast response to all
requests
- No "cookies"; we know how to write real programs that don't intrude
on a user's privacy
- No software limitations; we program what you need right from
"scratch"
- For magazine sites, subscription and renewal processing
The following sites have been designed, produced, and are currently
hosted by Halliburton Systems Inc
- UEN
- The Used Equipment Network, operated for Used Equipment Directory
magazine lists over 70,000 pieces of available used capital equipment,
mostly production equipment such as metalworking machinery, electrical
switchgear, and material handling equipment. The searchable database
has information on over 9,000 dealers and their inventories and provides
for user entry of "wanted" and "for-sale" listings that are distributed
automatically to dealers specializing in the appropriate types of
equipment on a daily basis.
UEN also comes in a
static
flavor; less flexible but extremely fast.
- UED-ed
- Used Equipment Directory (electronic delivery) is the full content
of the printed UED magazine delivered by a combination of email
and web technology. HSI produces the printed magazine as well as
the electronic delivery version
- IMUA
- The Inland Marine Underwriter's Assocation site features many
hundreds of reports, bulletins, news stories, and other documents
of interest to those in the industry. These documents are
easily searchable using keywords or categories. Association
members have even more functions, including a bulletin board.
- RDNJ
- The Research and Development Council of NJ site is also an
interactive site, generated on the fly based on user requests.

AA-Automovers
- AA Automovers arranges the transport of thousands of vehicles
every month. We implemented a complete solution for them,
consisting of their primary web site, an integrated sales and
dispatch system, automated pricing system, tracking/follow-up,
and more.
- IndustrialMachines.Com
- Our most recent interactive site is an on-line auction of
used industrial equipment, mainly metalworking machinery.
Halliburton Systems was responsible for the design and
implementation of the site, as well as the overall business
plan. We operate the both the site and the back-office
support operation for the auctions.
For genuine interactive web sites the choice is clear: HSI or second best.
